VFX 2D - Dragonball Beam Attacks study

I made this just to practice 2D VFX and learn a couple things, i really dig this style and always wanted to try this!
Used ArcSystem as my inspiration, used to play a lot of Dragonball Fighterz a couple years ago and always wondered how they made some of the vfx for that game, so i decided to try and make the famous kamehameha!
The effect is quite simple, i made some shaders so i could scroll, deform and change the alpha of some textures, I also created some flipbooks in Krita.

The full effect, the famous Kamehameha!

The kamehameha version, wanted to give an electric look to it, like it is full of energy.

All the parts of the effect separated.
I created a shader to scroll a texture i made in krita to make the electricity, created a flipbook for the blast(emission) part of the beam.
Also made a shader to deform the smoke so it would look more natural.

Masenko version, simpler and cleaner

Buu version

Tried the colors of Piccolo's special beam cannon to see how it looked, kinda liked it

A bigger and meanier version, based of the green energy from the original Brolly

The biggest one, a red variation based on kefla's green and red beam.

This are all the textures i used to make these beams, most of the effect is just shader work and flipbooks!
